Nice evening spent at Taj bengal terrace garden. It was a foodies day out for the whole family!
The Farmers’ Markets by Karen Anand event happened at the Taj Bengal on 15th November,2015 (Sunday) from 11 am to 7 pm. Held in 5 cities, the Farmers Market by Karen Anand is a much awaited event in Kolkata where foodistas can eat, drink and shop for healthy and interesting products.
It was great way to find fresh produce and natural products from Organic Mandi, Casa Puro, Natureway Agro, Beejorganics, Kasaya, Foodstree, Sanjeevani Organics, Onganic, delightful cheeses from Living Free, rice from India Gate, saffron from Saffronind, wellness products from Samasth, and spices from Shelly’s. Also available was Karen’s newly launched gourmet range of conserves, marmalades, sauces and mustard made from natural products under the brand name Pune Farmers Market, newly launched coffees from Nettare Beverages, olive oil from Borges, cold pressed juices from JustPressed and gourmet cookies from Kaos and Melete.
Introducing ONganic which is a social enterprise that connects small and marginal organic farmers with direct consumers. ONganic promotes organically grown indigenous variety of non-perishable food products including rice, pulses, flours, spices, dairy and other agro-allied products, which are directly processed and packed by a Farmer Produce Company in West Bengal. These are marketed through brick and mortar stores and online e-commerce platforms across India.
The various types of teas was there to buy, ranging from infusions to high-end teas by Glenburn Tea Direct, Assam1860, Te-a-me, personalized prepared tea mixes by Tea Trove and organic teas from CHA.
Restaurants at the market was included pizzas from Chicago Pizza, South Indian from The Chutney Co., desserts from Piccadilly Square, oriental from What’s Cooking, fresh delights from Basil and Food Studio and most importantly favourite dishes by the Taj. This market also added Kingfisher beer and wines from Sula.
